5 WAYS TO STRENGTHEN YOUR PRESENCE OF MIND

Strengthening our presence of mind is equally important as strengthening our body especially in this time of the pandemic.

It can teach us how to think at critical moments - aggressions, verbal confrontations, physical conflicts, and even life-threatening situations.

It is important to keep our presence of mind and maintain our mental powers in any kind of situation.

This helps us to become confident, decisive, and aggressive in whatever comes our way.

Additionally, with the presence of mind, we can also detach ourselves from the situation, see the whole picture and think of strategies we can use as called by the circumstances.

Here are some exercises to improve our presence of mind.

1. CONFRONT YOUR FEARS

FEAR - False Emotions Appearing Real

Validate your fear. A lot of things are wasted due to fear of rejection, failure, pain, and death.

Try to expose yourself slowly to the activities or things that scare you and you'll start to overcome the fear you have (but practice precautions).

Control your imagination. Not all are good. Some of them restrict us from doing what's best for us.

Exposing yourself to minor conflicts will familiarize you with them and will lessen your anxieties. This will make your mind stronger.

2. BE SELF-RELIANT

Self-reliance develops together with the enhancement and broadening of your current skill set. Expanding your horizon gives you a better perspective on things from every angle.

This strengthens your judgment and therefore increases your self-confidence. Learn and try new things, find some improvements, innovate, explore new boundaries.

And sometimes there are things you can learn and discover just by yourself.

3. BE PREPARED FOR PEOPLE WHO ARE RUDE, IMPATIENT, AND LACKS GOOD SENSE

Don't fight every battle that comes your way. Choose wisely.

Change your course and don't waste your energy. In this way, you can preserve your precious mental balance and focus on the most important task you need to complete.

There are many of them, and it is wise to avoid them altogether.

4. DO NOT LET YOURSELF BE INTIMIDATED

Intimidation destroys your mental balance.

You cannot think clearly if you think that the person standing in front of you is way better than you.

See the person as a mere mortal and strip the legend out of him. Focus on your skills and abilities and not on his. Try to figure out the situation and use your talent to come up with a solution to solve his puzzle.

Don't be intimidated by the looks, the size, the strength, or even the reputation.

5. TRUST YOUR INSTINCTS

Instinct is a way of behaving, thinking, or feeling that is not learned. It is a natural tendency that makes you want to act in a particular way without a need for a reason.

If you have tested it at least once in your life, trust it.

Train your mind to adapt to ANY circumstances.

Cultivate skills like creativity, independence, self-confidence, ingenuity, and the ability to problem-solve.

Become more resilient and mentally tough.

Dare to be dangerous.
